1st Easter Egg Hunt

Today, our awesome church hosted it's 2nd annual Eggapoloza Egg Hunt. It was at an old high school football field and was seperated into different age groups. Here are the boys before it started. It was a cold morning!

Karson was so excited for the Easter Bunny. I had talked and talked about what he should expect at the egg hunt. He was super excited and clapping to see him come out.

During the egg hunt the kids got a closer look at the Easter Bunny (aka: Daddy/Kevin)
Kevin volunteered to be the Easter Bunny for the egg hunt. He was supposed to come out in a flying gocart but then things changed and he just came out in a go-cart. The kids went wild in the stands. It was super fun for them!

Here is a closer look at the Easter Bunny :)

More to come on the Easter Bunny.

Welcome Weather

It has definatley been a WARM spring so far! It has been in the 80's all week long. It's almost a little too hot for spring time, but I am not going to be picky. I am not a winter person, and the boys would agree. This change in weather has been super nice. We have been outside ALL DAY except for naptime. It has been a little exhausting I'm not going to lie. It will take me a few weeks to get used to the constant,on the go, boys to chase after :)

I even got out the baby pool and the water table for the boys. Even though we don't have our driveway poured and it was a little uneven, it was still super fun for them!! They played in this pool for nearly 3 hours!! I couldn't believe how much they had missed it.

We have also been enjoying our back and front porch. The back porch is always shaded so it is super nice when it is warmer weather. The boys LOVE sitting in the high chairs and having lunch/dinner and popscicles.

These boys LOVE popscicles. I try to get the sugar free kind because they eat so many. They don't care if their sugar free they are LOVING it!

Here is something that I found from pinterest and actually did. A flower pot with your
children's handprints. It turned out super cute :)

While we were grocery shopping at Kroger last weekend, Karson saw these tulips and asked me to get them. I have been wanting some anyway. They weren't bloomed at all last weekend and this week they have gone crazy!! It kinda makes me sad that they are almost over. I LOVE spring flowers.

Hope everyone is enjoying Spring time :)

Here are the boys new baby chicks. We have 4 big chickens outside in their coop. 1 rooster and 3 hens. Karson wanted to buy baby chicks with his birthday money. While I was gone one day Kevin took the boys to buy new chicks and I came home to 10 new chicks. They are precious. We are well on our way to having a chicken farm....for now. Still trying to talk Kevin into more farm animals.

Spring Break Work

During my Spring Break, Kevin has been off for 3 days which is awesome! It seems like he works every weekend when I am home and almost all of my days off for OSE days, etc. Thankfully, we can start working on our yard and getting grass soon. (I forgot what it feels like) After construction it seems like you are surrounded by dirt, sand, rocks, and leftover materials everywhere!! I am so happy spring is here and it's time to get the ball rollin on the outside :)

We have lots of dozing work to do. Papaw Brad is the operator, which the boys LOVE!

Watching & Learning

Kipton LOVED his 1st dozer ride

Like father....like son! Karson is destined to be a hard worker. That's all he see of his daddy. Such a good trait to have as a man.

After the work party was over and everyone had a bath, it was front porch time!

We LOVE sitting on our front & back porch. The front porch was all finished by my dad & Kevin. They did such an awesome job. It feels so good at night time.

Looking for stars :)

Enjoying our Spring Break!

Spring Break

Let me just tell you how good it feels to be off a whole week from school!! Ahhhh...I feel like I can breathe, but then the pressure sets in. The student teaching portfolio that is due in just 3 weeks.

DOM...DOM....DOM!!!

Guess how much I have finished? Ohhhh about 3 out of the 10 pages on very important material that you will be presenting to a board of Deans/Doctors from the College of Ed. Lovely! So even though I am home this week with my precious WILD boys, the portfolio is looming on my mind. Just 1 and 1/2 more months until graduation. YOU CAN DO THIS, YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!

So on my break this week we are:

Enjoying our AWESOME front porch that I have wanted for so long!

Swinging in the baby swing even though your 3 years old....because he can :)

Enjoying this newly made sandbox by Papaw Brad. It is big enough for both boys to sit in and has a nice sturdy lid. It also has holes in the side corners to pour sand into or put an umbrella in this summer. Super awesome!

Enjoy a 4-wheeler ride in your pajamas because you live in the country and it's OK! :)

And finally get dirty, messy, sandy, and have a Popsicle mouth all because YOU CAN! :)

Let me just say that since we have moved to the country 4 months ago, life has been super easy. Of course there is more work to be done in the country rather than in a subdivision. But, it is so nice and so peaceful. I had a really hard time when we were packing/moving about how I would feel once I was actually settled into our new house in the country. Would I miss the people all around me? Would I miss the concrete streets that the boys could ride bikes/take walks? Would I miss all the small kids that Karson and Kipton had access to each day?

Surprisingly the answer has been NO to each one of those. I have not missed one single thing about our old neighborhood. Of course there are a "few" people that I miss talking to, but it's nothing compared to the peacefulness you have in the country. There is no one to impress or compete with. It is a much "simpler" life and I am so happy here!

If you don't  believe me, just ask Karson. Where else can you pee off your front porch steps and you know 100% that not one person saw you :)

HAHA! Gotta love him :)

Karson's 3rd Birthday Party

A few months before Karson turned 3 I kept asking him what he wanted for his birthday party. He came up with: "I want Angry Birds on my plates and at the Jumpy Place". So I knew he meant he wanted the Angry Birds theme so we went with it. I did ask him many more times just to make sure before I made my first purchase. I got a tray of chicken nuggets from Chick-fil-a (his favorite) and made a fruit tray. I also went with Angry Birds cupcakes and made the toppers myself.

He plays Angry Birds on our phones and it used to be VERY much attached to it, asking for it multiple times a day. Since the party the game has kind of died down because he got a Leap Pad and he would rather play with that.

Karson loved this baseball inflatable. I think we may have a t-ball player on our hands.

Kipton has a GREAT time just following Karson around. He tried everything that his big brother was trying. They both love each other so much!!!

Kipton enjoying his cup cake!!

Karson opening his new dumptruck toys!

Some friends of ours. Karson LOVES Pup!

Karson had 14 people there from our family so it wasn't a huge party, but just enough. Both of his grandparents were there, mommy/daddy, and a few friends of ours. We had a great time!

Fun Fun Fun!!

Still loving the baseball game.

Karson had a GREAT time!! He played, opened gifts, blew out his big 3 candle, and played some more. He wasn't really into opening his presents because he wanted to jump so much! It was really cute watching him and Kipton enjoy the jumpy place together.

Kevin had talked me into wearing an Angry Birds shirt. Karson LOVED it that all of us were wearing the shirts to match him. It was cute!

I can't believe my big boy is 3 years old. He has been a COMPLETLEY different child here in the past 2 weeks. In a good way :) I love him so much!
