Our Week

"Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate." (Psalms 127:3-5)

The boys and I are spending our days playing, playing, and some more playing. They are both full of life and so much fun. I am so lucky to have them!

Kipton is now saying "Hello" on the telephone. Too cute!!

The workers have been very busy with the new house.
We have had to be there a lot this week to make changes and see the progress along.
This is a very exciting time for us.

- The garage -

Karson in his bedroom. Very excited!

"This is Karson's room."
"This is where my bed will go."
"Here is my potty."
-Some of the things Karson says as he is touring the house. He is too funny!

The chickens have moved to the new house already. Kevin and my dad built them a new chicken coop and it is much bigger and has a place for them to lay their eggs.

Karson has named them "Jackie" and "Lou Lou". I know the Lou Lou came from a story we read about chickens but not sure where Jackie came from?
Giving them tomatoes

When we move to the house we plan on getting more chickens. But for now it's just the two of them.
Karson really enjoys going to see them. I think we have all found enjoyment from the chickens. They are fun and will let you hold them and are so tame. I am hoping the boys will always love the animals that we have and want to raise many different types of animals.

Nothing like watching a movie on the trampoline

Kipton is Mr. Drools while he works on his 9th tooth

Mommy's helper boy. Loves to sweep

Nothing better than brothers

Hope you had a great week!

We are looking forward to Kevin's long stretch off from work.

I found this idea from another blog and thought it was neat to do with your children as they grow up. Now that Karson is 2 and he talks very well he can answer them all. It was actually kind of funny when I did this with him. I am really interested to see how his answers change over the years. What a great idea!!! At this time Karson is 2 but not 2 1/2 so I guess he's in the  middle of that. (if that even makes sense)

Park Fun

It has been VERY hot here!!
Too hot to play outside unless it's early in the morning or late in the evening.
This is really devastating to Karson.
He is a HUGE outside boy.

After dinner, Erin went with us to a playground that the boys enjoy.
They played for over an hour.

After playing and then some ice cream it was home for baths and bed.

I am really enjoying summer but kinda wish it would cool down a little.
Heres to hoping for some fall weather but still stay summer.

New House Update

Things are coming along on the new house! We were so antsy to see the progress. They will have all of the framing of the walls finished by the end of this coming week. We are super excited!! I could actually get a feel for each room in the house just by the flooring being down and my floor plans in hand.
My wonderful husband who makes this ALL possible :)

Front of the house. The huge dirt pile has to be pushed all around the foundation of the house.
Still have lots of bulldozing to do. My dad has done a great job!

Our football field front yard.

Here is what the boys have been up to...

Swimming/Beating the water with a bat
Nothing like playing outback in your undies :)
(Karson would NEVER wear clothes if I didn't make him)

Lots of swinging

and sand boxing...

and walking...

The boys before church this morning.
Afterwards I realized my camera lens was foggy from coming outside in the 180 degrees.

Church is exhausting!

I should also add how awesome our church is!
We had been looking for a church since we got married (4 years ago) and could never agree on the same one. We came to C3 last October and LOVE IT. It has been amazing for our family.
If you are looking for a church try it out!

Kipton Lee's 1st Birthday

On July 20th, 2010 we had our second precious baby boy. He was welcomed into this world at 10:37 am and has been a joy ever since. He is wild and crazy and much different than his big brother. But that is what makes him so special. We are so lucky to have him.

We had a low key birthday party on his actual birthday. Kevin had to work that day and Kip normally goes down for bed at 8pm so we knew the party wouldn't last long but he still had a great time with both sets of grandparents.

Here are some pictures from his big day:

Another special memory that happend on his birthday was that he started walking!
He had taken a few steps here and there but TODAY was the day. How special!

Enjoying some grass walking :)

Both of my boys. Brothers are so sweet

Waiting for the grandparents...

Happy Birthday to Kipton

I know this is going to sound REALLY boring of me..
BUT I am really not into the whole cake smashing thing. I am always so worried
they will get a belly ache and be up all night so he got just a PIECE of cake. But still enjoyed
it just as much. He was in heaven!

By the expressions of his face he had a great birthday.

He enjoyed all of the extra attention and loves his new toys.

We love our little boy!
